The hilarious follow-up to last year's hit, Boys Of The Empire! We go aboard Imperial Airways with four intrepid English boy scouts who are on their way to British India for a jamboree with scouts from all over the globe (most of which is owned by us, anyway).  Naturally, villainy is afoot - again.  They crash land in Afghanistan, a dangerous wilderness where outlaws of the east plot against the white races and threaten the stability of the Raj.  Can these strong, brave and honest boys defeat the Afghan hordes and make it a country safe to camp in - rather like England!

You'll just have to wait and see in a ripping story of bare knees, young pluck and stern endeavour.

For the first time ever, Shakespeare’s Globe will be opening its doors over the festive season with a Christmas show.

Following their Shakespeare Party in 2008, the acclaimed and totally unique Footsbarn Theatre Company return to the Globe with their Christmas Cracker, a family feast of carnival, comedy and Christmas cheer.
What's in the cracker?
Your gift is a midwinter celebration of London's rich, bawdy, pagan past. Drawing from festive traditions, and inspired by the complete works of Shakespeare.
Will there be party hats?
Enough for everyone, including the three headed Shakespeare who recites poetry and discovers words that have never even been heard, for Juliette walking the tightrope, for Bottom and for King Lear (or are they the same), and for the Lord of Misrule who ensures that all the laws are broken in his hedonistic realm.
And jokes?
Oh yes, this cracker contains not just jokes, but magic, music, carnival, dance, puppets, circus and much more. Pull it and see.

Gala performance in aid of Changing Faces

Best known for impersonating countless celebrities and public figures in Dead Ringers on both Radio 4 and BBC2, Jan Ravens also recently stepped out on Strictly Come Dancing, and won Celebrity Mastermind.

This delightfully funny and revelatory show, which premiered at London's National Theatre, is her solo stage debut. Jan will play the West End for one night only, as a special gala performance in aid of Changing Faces: a UK charity that supports and represents people who have disfigurements of the face or body from any cause.

Ravens shows how she creates her remarkable impressions, with this insightful look at the world of funny voices and silly wigs. Many of her best-loved characters will be making appearances along the way.
From Anne Robinson and Nigella Lawson to Ann Widdecombe and the Queen, plus of course her unforgettable takes on Fiona Bruce and Kirsty Wark, no woman in the public eye can hide from Ravens' unique brand of satirical comedy.
